[Campaigns] What Is Category-Level Bidding?
In addition to campaign-level bid targets, Criteo permits bid customization for each product category associated with a campaign.
For example, you may wish to set higher bids for particular brands or product lines.
Categories used for bidding must be added as the categoryid1
field when configuring the import of your product catalog.
Category-level bidding must also be explicitly enabled by your Criteo account team.
Preferred Methods
Category-level bidding is a legacy feature. Newer, better performing bidding models are available for product-level bid optimization.
