Introduction
This page provides an overview of various digital ad formats available in the Criteo Retail Media solution.
Each format is tailored to meet specific advertising goals, (maximizing visibility, increasing user engagement, or seamlessly integrating ads into a platform's user experience).
There are two main categories of formats: Sponsored products and Onsite Display.
Onsite Display includes Commerce Display formats as well as Display banners.
For video ads, the available format is Commerce Video Spotlight.
Sponsored Products
Sponsored products are a native ad format specifically designed for product placement within e-commerce platforms.
These ads appear in locations where users typically browse for items, such as search results or product category pages. They blend seamlessly into the natural shopping experience but are distinguished with "Sponsored" or "Ad" labels.

Onsite Display
Onsite Display is categorized into two main groups:
- Commerce display that include Flagship, Showcase, Butterfly, Branded Header and Interactive Header.
- Display banners that include IAB, Display Panel and Digital Shelf Talker.

Commerce display formats
For desktop
Flagship
This is a hero ad format that serves as the primary branding unit on a webpage. Often placed in prominent areas such as a homepage, this format is used for maximum brand exposure, often encompassing larger real estate and interactive elements.

Butterfly

Branded Header
Similar to the interactive header, the branded header is focused on static branding. This format places the brand’s logo, slogan, or key message in a prominent location at the top of a webpage, ensuring consistent brand presence as users navigate through the content.

Display Banners
IAB Banners
IAB banners are a standardized digital advertising format as defined by the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB).
These include traditional banner ads like 300x250 (Medium Rectangle) or 728x90 (Leaderboard). They are typically used for static or animated image ads and ensure compatibility across various platforms.
